About this Location
The USO Warrior and Family Center at Bethesda located on Naval Support Activity Bethesda offers a comprehensive array of specialized services and programs in a supportive and home-like setting. The more than 16,000-square-foot facility is dedicated to serving our nation’s wounded, ill and injured troops, their families and caregivers, as well as active-duty and military families. It includes classrooms, an ADA-compliant kitchen and dining room, a community events space and healing gardens.

I enjoy the cooking group that comes in on Friday’s. I usually assist Jeremy in the preparation of their assignments before the program begins. I really enjoy the participants. These are active duty military members that are dealing with problems, and anything you can do to get them to smile or laugh... I really enjoy that, and love the interface with the soldiers that come in for it…. I’m a nurse by trade, so I’m just so used to dealing with people. I love that aspect of this position.
