About this Location

The Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall Honor Guard center is specifically dedicated to the soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines who serve on the honor guard—charged with laying to rest our fallen warriors at Arlington National Cemetery. To better support service members, Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall Honor Guard center has personal computer (PC) games and instituted a game room in the community center to be more representative of the 21st century.

Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall (JBM-HH) is directly adjacent to Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va. and serves military operations at Fort Myer, Crystal City, The Pentagon, Fort McNair, The District of Columbia and Henderson Hall (Marine Corps HQ). JBM-HH is home to Military’s oldest unit, 3rd US Infantry Regiment, The Old Guard, known as the “Escort to the President”, and has the proud honor and responsibility to guard the “Tomb of the Unknown Soldier”.

"I'd say my favorite moment volunteering is when I know someone is having surgery, and then they come in and they are doing better.... You form relationships with the people that come in here, they quickly become familiar faces. You tend to learn a lot about these people, meet their families, and become invested in how they are doing. It really brings me joy when I see improvement."
Ruth, a four year volunteer with USO Warrior and Family Center at Bethesda: Find out how to support USO
