About this Location

The USO at Washington Dulles International Airport is open daily and serves as a home away from home for our troops and their families as they travel the globe in defense of our nation. Support services include something as simple as a cup of coffee and a quiet place to relax, finding lodging in emergencies, retrieving critical travel orders that have been misplaced, or making that last phone call before deployment.

This center also serves as one of the main transfer points for our “Families of the Fallen” service program by providing respite and comfort to grieving families traveling to witness the return of their loved ones or to attend memorial services. Dedicated USO volunteers provide these family members with travel assistance, take care of their immediate on-site needs, and oftentimes simply lend an understanding shoulder.

Programs at this Location

"I'd say my favorite moment volunteering is when I know someone is having surgery, and then they come in and they are doing better.... You form relationships with the people that come in here, they quickly become familiar faces. You tend to learn a lot about these people, meet their families, and become invested in how they are doing. It really brings me joy when I see improvement."
Ruth, a four year volunteer with USO Warrior and Family Center at Bethesda: Find out how to support USO
