Annual Report 2018 - Volunteers

In the past year, 1,353 volunteers gave 122,211 hours of service in support of our military and their families.

A Welcoming Entrance to the Reagan Airport USO Lounge

Just shy of 1,000 hours, Ed Barry is one of nearly 200 USO-Metro volunteers at the Reagan Airport USO Lounge that support daily operations. Each volunteer at USO-Metro contributes in a big way to its mission, and Ed found a special way to put a smile on the faces of our military guests visiting the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport USO Lounge.

Capturing Memories for our Military

Long-time USO-Metro volunteer Regina has been capturing priceless moments at USO-Metro events and fundraisers for more than a decade! She is a pivotal part of the team and her photos bring joy to service members and their families with each and every snap of her camera.

USO-Metro Interns

Each year, USO-Metro solicits help from college students and young professionals looking to gain experience while giving back to our cause. These unpaid internship positions, a type of specialty volunteer, include responsibilities in various USO Centers as well as our support offices such as fundraising.

Austin White served as a USO-Metro Sports Program Intern at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall in Arlington, Virginia.

Before joining the USO Warrior and Family Center at Fort Belvoir as a Center Coordinator, Sara Martin served at USO-Metro as an intern.
