USO-Metro Monthly Center Highlights

We love supporting service members and their families living in and traveling through the National Capital Region! February has been another eventful month for the USO-Metro Centers. Read on to see some of the highlights.

USO Warrior and Family Centers

USO-Metro’s Warrior and Family Centers had an eventful February full of food giveaways, game nights and special celebrations.

USO Warrior and Family Center at Fort Belvoir

The USO Warrior and Family Center at Fort Belvoir hosted their monthly Supermarket Sweeps and provided food along with chicken breasts from Tyson Foods to active duty service members and their families.

The USO Warrior and Family Center at Fort Belvoir celebrated their sixth birthday and the milestone of serving 1 million guest visits!

USO Warrior and Family Center at Bethesda

Service members at the USO Warrior and Family Center at Bethesda enjoyed a delicious YUM lunch from Clyde’s and a giveaway from DC Comics.

Guidehouse came to the Warrior and Family Center for a fun minute-to-win-it game night.

Airport Lounges

Volunteers and staff - and even a service dog in training - supported traveling military this month at our airport lounges. The lounges also received generous donations from the 2018 Dulles Charity Golf event and vouchers for Mission BBQ sandwiches!

BWI Airport USO Lounge

Staff and volunteers at the BWI Airport USO Lounge wore heart costumes to celebrate Valentine’s Day!

Mission BBQ provided free sandwich cards to service members to thank them for their service.

Dulles International Airport USO Lounge

The Dulles International Airport USO Lounge was named the recipient of the 2018 Dulles Charity Golf Classic, an event in which USO-Metro volunteers provided event support. Their generosity is greatly appreciated!

A service dog in training visited the USO Center with his trainer, a USO-Metro volunteer! We’re certain visitors loved seeing him and we wish him the best when he goes on to assist a Marine veteran.

Reagan Airport USO Lounge and Joint Base Andrews Airport USO Lounge

Both airport USO lounges wished their travelers a Happy Valentine’s Day!

Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall USO Honor Guard Lounge

The Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall USO Honor Guard Lounge had a special Valentine’s Day celebration and enjoyed cake with service members.

USO Fort Meade

USO Fort Meade had a Super Market Sweep, this time with a special donation of Tyson Foods’ chicken donation.

USO Fort Meade invited members of the Fort Meade military community to visit the center and pick up some goodies from the most recent Super Market Sweep!

Baltimore MEPS USO

We love our volunteers and how much they give to service members, including the newest service members! At the Baltimore MEPS USO, volunteer Kathy gave recruits a hug before going off to basic.
